Terms of service
pulpme.sh is run as a free service. Publishing a blog here, or reading one, means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Last updated 18 September 2026.
The service
The service takes markdown files uploaded over scp or sftp and
publishes them as a website at pulpme.sh/~name. It is
provided free of charge, with no account, no contract, and no
promise that it will keep running. It can be changed, interrupted,
or shut down at any time, and a blog can stop being served without
notice.
There are no backups. Every upload replaces the previous one, and a blog only exists here as long as the service does, so keep your own copy of everything you publish.
Your content
You keep every right you already have in what you upload. You are responsible for it: for having the right to publish it, and for what it says.
By uploading, you give pulpme.sh permission to store your files, render them, and serve the result publicly, for as long as they are published here. That permission exists so the service can operate, and covers nothing else. Uploading an empty blog, or asking for the name to be removed, ends it.
Anything you publish here is public. The service has no private blogs, no drafts served behind a password, and no way to publish to a limited audience.
What you may not publish
Do not publish anything that is unlawful where it is read, or that:
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- is made to harass, threaten, or defame someone;
- publishes another person's private information without their consent;
- incites violence or promotes terrorism;
- distributes malware, phishing pages, or fraud;
- publishes adult content;
- exists to manipulate search rankings, or is otherwise bulk-generated spam.
Do not attack the service either: no attempts to reach other tenants' files, break out of your own, or overwhelm the server. The upload limits are part of the terms, not a puzzle.
Complaints and removal
Blogs are published automatically. Nothing is reviewed before it goes live, and pulpme.sh does not monitor, endorse, or take responsibility for what tenants publish. Each blog is the work of whoever uploaded it, and their views are their own.
To report content, write to abuse@pulpme.sh with the address of the page and a description of the problem. For a copyright complaint, include enough detail to identify the work, and a statement that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them.
Reports are acted on as quickly as one person reasonably can. Content or whole blogs can be removed, and names suspended, at any time, at our sole discretion, with or without notice and without any obligation to explain the decision. Removal is not an admission of anything, and declining to remove something is not an endorsement of it.
Names and keys
A blog name belongs to the first SSH key that uses it, and that key is the only way back in. Losing it means losing the name; there is no recovery, no password reset, and no way for us to verify that a name was yours. Do not use a name you are not entitled to, such as someone else's name or trademark.
Names that impersonate, that are needed for the service to work, or that are used to break these terms can be reclaimed.
No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. No promise is made that it will be available, that a build will succeed, that a published page will stay published, or that uploaded files will survive.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, pulpme.sh and whoever runs it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of the service or of anything published through it, whether the claim is in contract, in tort, or on any other basis.
You agree to cover the costs, including reasonable legal fees, of any third-party claim brought because of what you published here or how you used the service.
What is stored
Running the service means keeping your blog name, the public keys that claim it, the files you upload, and a log of your builds. The web and SSH servers log connections, including IP addresses and timestamps, and those logs are kept only as long as they are useful for operating the service and dealing with abuse.
None of it is sold, and there are no ads or third-party trackers on the pages this service renders. Your own blog's content is yours to fill as you like, so anything you embed in it is on you.
Changes
These terms can change. The current version is always the one on this page, dated at the top, and using the service after a change means accepting it. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
